SEMI-CUSTOM ART DETAILS
SEMI-CUSTOM GUIDELINES
Art work can only be printed (sublimated) on the front and back of jerseys. We are unable to place any artwork, logos or graphics on the collar, pockets, sleeves or the side panels.
All artwork, logos and designs must be provided by you, or your graphic designer. VergeGear.com will not create or alter designs in any way. VergeGear.com is not responsible for artwork sent that is poor quality.
Those submitting artwork to VergeGear.com must obtain permission and approval from owners of the original art (e.g. corporate logos, copyrighted artwork, original artwork).
Printable area is 8½" x 11".
Our printing process is a full color "CMYK" process. This process allows you to include as many colors as you wish in your image. However, we cannot guarantee to exactly match any particular color.
Images will be transferred to the jersey by a process called "sublimation". This is a gas-dye process that does not leave a surface texture and allows the fabric to maintain it's breathability.
Semi-custom items may have a press-mark around the image. This indentation disappears after a few washings.
Your order will ship within two weeks of sending in your approved artwork. Contact us if you have special shipping needs.
ALL SALES ARE FINAL. VergeGear.com can not accept returns on semi-custom items. If you are unsure of your sizing, sizing samples can be ordered from using our sample request form.
ART REQUIREMENTS
Image area is limited to 8½" x 11" and can be either landscape or portrait.
Larger images cannot be accommodated.
See examples on this page.
For best results, artwork should be in vector format. Vector EPS files can be used from Corel Draw or Macromedia Freehand, but Adobe Illustrator is preferred. All fonts must be converted to paths or outlines. Vector files should not have other raster images imported into them. If this is unavoidable, you must provide us with a copy of the imported image as well.
If bitmap images, such as a JPG, TIFF or bitmap EPS must be used, please make sure it is of good resolution (150-300dpi) and scaled to the correct printing size. Photoshop files are acceptable, but all layers should be flattened and there should be no live fonts. When using JPG files, please use as little compression as possible, or save in the highest quality setting.
The artwork you send us must be an exact representation of what you want printed on the jersey. This means all elements are of correct size, placement, proportion & color. Images for the front of the garment and the back must be on separate pages and labeled accordingly. Remember, VergeSport will not alter artwork in any way. The artwork that is submitted is the artwork that will be produced.
ART TIPS FOR NON-ARTISTS
If you are unable to understand the ART REQUIREMENTS, you may need to enlist the help of a graphic designer.
If you work for a corporation, your marketing department should be able to get you the files you need. They often work with printers or ad agencies.
Do not use images taken off the internet. These low resolution files are not suitable for printing. Talk to a graphic designer about creating "print quality" digital files.
If you cannot, or do not want to do your own artwork, we can place text on the jersey for a $10.00 flat fee. You just specify the Font and the Text, and we will take care of the rest.
Files created in Microsoft Office applications, such as Word, PowerPoint, or Publisher are not compatible with our printing methods and cannot be used.
If you have any questions, please email us, or call us at 845-562-2500 during east coast business hours.
