The Verge Zephyr Collection

Two Wheels. A Thousand Trains.

A tribute to one of New York City's most influential artists, style pioneers and competitive cyclist - the Verge Zephyr collection celebrates the legacy of Andrew Witten, better known as Zephyr.

Emerging from the downtown New York graffiti scene of the 1970s, Zephyr started painting trains in the mid ‘70s - 80s creating artwork on over a thousand trains up to 1986. He was one of the artists who exhibited at the famous Fun Gallery in New York alongside his peers Dondi White, Keith Haring, Futura 2000 and Jean-Michel Basquiat - one of the first galleries to showcase street art. Zephyr became one of the most recognizable writers of his generation and helped shape modern graffiti culture through his distinctive lettering style and appearances in the seminal graffiti documentary Style Wars and  Wildstyle. His influence continues to be felt across art, design, and urban culture today.

A lifelong competitive cyclist Zephyr continues to race with his team Zephyr RDJ Racing and is an avid supporter of NYC cycling sponsoring local events.
